 May 2010: Kids are welcome to register. Our vision is to have upto 100 kids both boys and girls. Currently in our first month we have 48 registered kids. Collect registration forms from Coach P and have them filled in by soccer parents or guardians.
NB. Street kids dont need parental consent to join; just meet Coach P and your registration is finalised.

OCTOBER 2010-NOVEMBER 2010: Coach P visited Ghana to learn more about youth soccer and to find out why GH is a force in youth soccer globally. Toured Liberty Park, the home of Liberty Professionals (where Michael Essien, Sully Muntari, John Painsil etc came from), Nania FC (Abedi Pele's soccer academy), Accra Stadium, watched GLO Premier League Between Liberty Pros Vs King Faisal and Asante Kotoko Vs Accra Hearts of Oak and many youth training sessions across many fields.

Nov 2010: Lady Lillo donates a TV set and a DVD player to NWYSA for indoor training and kids entertainment.

DECEMBER 2010:
We started using Liberty Park as our home ground after renovations by the kids and the coach. The field is smaller than the usual soccer field but is appropriate for players under 17

24/12/2010: Kids receive soccer training gear from Sparta Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) from Michigan, USA. Special thanks to Coach Tammy G and Prez Ed also thanks to the kids and parents at SYSA.

7/1/2011: Mambo Interiors, a quality furniture outlet in Nairobi has signed a one year deal with NWYSA in the tune of Ksh120,000 to kit the club with branded uniforms and boots. Many thanks to the Director, JP "Mambo"

7/1/2011: Lady Lillo donates soccer training DVDs, 'COERVER FUNDAMENTALS' and 'ALL THE RIGHT MOVES' ; very useful resources for the coaches and the team.

11/1/2011: Training resumes Tuesday after the "back to school" break.

17/1/2011: George Opiyo of Nairobi donated a cheque to the club to help in buying goal nets and field markings as well as three soccer balls. Thanks George

22/1/2011: Mambo Interiors' John Paul 'Mambo' presented a full uniform kit to Coach P as his sponsorship to NYSA. Many thanks JP for helping kids be great. Be blessed.

4/2/2011: Coach P was awarded a Mathare Youth Sports Association Academy "Football For Developement" coaching certificate. The youngsters must now be handled in a professional way. Thanks to the coaching instructors Coach George, Coach Stanley and Coach David. Thanks too to former Nakuru mayor 'TM' David Gikaria  

17/2/2011: Ministry of Youth and Sports says they erred to direct NWYSA to change name and have now confirmed that there's no conflict of name with West Youth F.C. They have appologised to NWYSA
Therefore friends, NWYSA is still NWYSA!

  5/3/2011: Under 11 wins their Pool scoring five goals and conceding none. They proceed to the semis on 13/3/2011 at Afraha Stadium.

11/3/2011: Mike Oloo donates training wear to NWYSA.

13/3/2011: The kids get trophies for Best Team, Best Captain and Most Disciplined Team from Kenyan legendary footballers, Joe Kadenge, Mahmoud Abbas and 'Lule' Oluoch, Twaha among others

19/3/2011: The kids lost by penalty kicks in the third place play-offs of Nakuru District youth tournament that featured 21 teams but were awarded The most disciplined team, The most promising team (youngest) and The fourth team trophies.

26/3/2011:We have been invited to the "SIX NATIONS TOURNAMENT" for U-12, organized by Sofapaka (participating in the KPL and African Club Champions league) in conjunction with Mustard Seed Soccer School (an affiliate of Sofapaka).Only six teams are invited. We are proud of the recognition

RESULTS OF "THE SIX NATIONS" TOURNAMENT: Nwysa won all their games and lifted the trophies of the Best Team, Best Player and Most Entertaining Team.

Welcome to AVFAL Nakuru website

At AVFAL we coach youth of between the ages of 6 and 16 and is based in Nakuru, Kenya. It is meant to remove kids from the streets and keep them in school and away from drugs and other illicit behavior. It is purely a volunteer driven project. Help the cause by donating used balls, kids' training apparel eg boots,uniform, nets,cones etc.
